Premise: Search for clues, solve puzzles and fight enemies in order to escape the East ArmCo Manufactory, all the while learning the story of the location's former residents.
Design Goals:
Learn how to create new content using the Bethesda Creation Kit
Produce a mod containing new exterior and interior additions as well as unique assets (retextures and animations)
Hoistway Hideaway was my first piece of modded content added to Fallout 4. It acted as a personal project to learn cell editing, quest scripting, item retextures and how to implement animations. This was an individual project with level work, scripting and asset integration done by myself.
Frames for the animation were drawn in Adobe Photoshop before being turned into shape files with Adobe Illustrate. Said frames were then put together in Adobe Animate and exported as a Shockwave flash file before, lastly, being imported into the Creation Kit. This animation plays once the player starts the quest/mission.
