Premise: Fend off the enemy team in an effort to capture and control the crashed spaceship on Planet Gortex V.
Design Goals:
Create a compelling PVP experience for 3 versus 3, control point gameplay
Produce a level from concept to greybox before finalizing with an art pass using sourced assets
Planet Gortex was a semester long Level Design project during my 2nd year at Sheridan College. I was tasked with creating a full level from concept, to playable greybox and finally doing a kit-bash with sourced art assets. The level is made for the Lyra Sample Game by Epic Games. Blockout was created in Unreal. Assets used in art pass were sourced across various kits on Kenney.nl and were not created by me.
Finalizing the project required the original greybox geometry be replaced with finished artwork, all sourced from kits found on Kenney.nl
Level Design Documentation was submitted as part of this deliverable. Included here are pages regarding visual references, spatial diagrams, maps for marking features of play, and a schedule to track usage of static objects during the levels' art pass.
