Platform: PC /Game: Portal 2 / Tools: Portal 2 Level Editor/ Timeline: 4 Weeks
Premise: Work your way upward through a series of 3 puzzle chambers by redirecting lasers and using portals.
Design Goals:
Create a series of progressively complex puzzles
Teach players how to use overlapping mechanics to find solutions
Constrain mechanisms provided in the level to portals and lasers in order to motivate creative design
Upward Perplexion was a project during my 2nd year at Sheridan College. This project was used to teach facets of puzzle design and the use of in game editors. The level is available via the Steam Workshop and requires a copy of Portal 2 in order to play.
